Art Los Angeles Contemporary wrapped up this weekend at the Barker Hanger located on the grounds of the accessible, park-like, Santa Monica Airport. If you missed this weekend there is next year. In fact, art fairs are all the rage worldwide.
To Hide To Show is a group exhibition at MAMA, one of the newest contemporary art galleries taking Los Angeles by storm. The exhibition title is derived from the loose English translation of a contemporary French social anthropological study entitled "Montrer / Occulter."
Saturday is the opening reception for See Change, a permanent video installation featuring 17 original works located in the arrivals hall of the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, which is open to the public.
Museum director Ann Philbin states, "In recent years Los Angeles has given New York (and Paris and London and Berlin) a concerted and determined run for its money as the liveliest, and most flourishing, art capital in the world."
