Mccain Iraq 100 Years

Remember when our troops marched into Baghdad, took the place over, drove Saddam into a hole and arrested or killed the government? Then we disbanded their army -- that's what victory looks like.

Imagine you're al-Malaki running for re-election, and you decide, like a good puppet, to run on a platform that promises indefinite foreign occupation. How many votes do you think you'd get?

Somehow, mentioning McCain's statement that he's OK with America being in Iraq for 10,000 years is billed as unfair by the media, and laughed at by Republican strategists.

With 155,000 U.S. troops in Iraq facing mortal danger daily and dealing with the toll of repeated tours, you'd think that the war might warrant at least one question at John McCain's Town Hall.

Whether it's fighting in Iraq for 100 years or just staying for 100 years under some fantastical scenario where our troops stop being targets, McCain's idea doesn't really make much sense.
