We professional music copyists during the '80s were like monks -- only we were teamsters, too. Seriously, we were. (I still have my old union card.) We were a band of brothers who would run into one another at Associated Music.
For 42 years I've been called a "music copyist." Basically, we are the people whose job it is to get the music out of the head of the composer or arranger or orchestrator and onto the page.
