Music is a huge part of the holiday experience, and that it helps bring people together. It may even assist those of us who aren't feeling a sense of that holiday spirit, in getting it back. We all have our favorite holiday jingles, right?
My goal was to make sure that music was accessible to students across the nation, despite their backgrounds. I believe that music is the one thing that really unites us all, that transcends all borders, and this was something I wanted to bring to life.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving and the holiday season, along with the early arrival of Hanukkah this year, our Music Unites staff thought it might be fun to make a list of what we are thankful for in the music industry.
This fall, Music Unites and I continue our resolve to keep music present in all of our minds and lives, and we have started a campaign to ask those around us to complete this phrase, "Music is my..." We really want people to think about it! What does music mean to you?
