Every year, the National Alliance to End Homelessness hosts the National Conference on Ending Homelessness. Every year, advocates, practitioners, and service providers gather in the nation's capital to see what we've learned.
On June 22, the federal government released the first-ever, comprehensive federal plan to reduce the number of homeless people to zero. According to President Obama, "...ending homelessness in America must be a national priority."
Tonight, the homeless assistance community will gather to honor those who have been able to strive forward and lead in the face of economic turmoil at the 2010 National Alliance to End Homelessness Awards Ceremony.
