"Nashville" ambled along last night, stumbling through the lackluster loose ends of its midseason finale with with an insanely dull love triangle to water things down instead of spicing them up. And then, abruptly and unceremoniously, there was a suicide and a murder.

"I'm Tired Of Pretending" centralized around a nexus of daddy issues. For an episode with such a snarky title, "You're No Angel Yourself" was surprisingly sympathetic. Juliette, Deacon and Gunnar -- all frustratingly stubborn denizens of "Nashville" -- were rounded out by their respective strengths over the course of the hour.

Rayna Has A BIG Problem

Miss Rayna James has lost her voice, and it would be very sad and shocking, if three weeks of "Nashville" promos hadn't explicitly told us that would happen.
