For every beautiful thing that happens in this city -- and there are many -- at least a few things a day make you question what you're doing living in the steaming pile of disease that is the Big Apple.
The only thing scarier than showing something you're working on to your friends, the people who know everything about you and still love you, is to present your projects for scrutiny to complete strangers. This is especially true in New York City.
I've just been reminded of why I love this crazy, remarkable city. Because every time I think I've seen it all, it shows me something new, something I've never seen before, something I never could have dreamed of in a million years.
