This may be a first for me -- the Media Research Center is using something I wrote to raise money.

Strange Days: Conservatives Criticize 'Liberal Media' for Being Too Soft on GOP Front-Runner Trump

This Trump campaign has produced all kinds of regrettable firsts this season, but one of the strangest twists has to be that some conservatives who have spent generations denouncing the press for being unfairly critical of Republicans have now completely flipped the script.

If Sharyl Attkisson's Such a Fair Reporter, Why Is Right-Wing Media Defending Her?

Terry Krepel

If Attkisson wasn't doing conservative-friendly things, the MRC wouldn't be so eager and desperate to defend her. If Attkisson had gone after a Republican president the way she has President Obama, Bozell and Graham would not be so effusively singing her praises.

Because Hating Breitbart failed to receive special treatment from the MPAA, Newsbusters cries bias. A strategy Andrew Breitbart himself would have been proud of.

Tell the Truth! (But Not When It Hurts Brent Bozell's Agenda)

Terry Krepel

The "Tell the Truth" campaign is less about truth-telling and more about bullying the media into promoting right-wing talking points. The MRC doesn't really want a balanced media. It wants a slavishly right-wing media.

Misrepresenting what I said during an appearance on Countdown this week, NewsBusters claims that I'm trying to deny Glenn Beck his "constitutionally protected free speech." Wrong. What I said is that words have tremendous power -- they can inspire and they can incite. There's a reason you can't shout "fire" in a crowded theater. But even though Glenn Beck is shouting "fire" in a crowded, anxious country, I specifically said that the right response to his steady stream of lies, hate, and race-baiting -- all served up with a not-very-subtle undercurrent of violence -- is to put unrelenting pressure on his advertisers and his bosses. Pressure works. CNN dropped Lou Dobbs. I'm actually of two minds when it comes to Beck. Part of me resents spending even a second of my life thinking about him. But part of me recognizes that he's too dangerous to ignore.

Back in 2001, conservative media figures were adamant. Democratic Party victories at the ballot boxes during the off-year elections had little national significance.

Pierce's statement, misrepresented by the MRC, came in the context of a larger statement about how the Chappaquiddick incident effectively kept Kennedy from having the "moral credibility" to be president.

Right-wing bloggers were abuzz last week with news of its conspiracy du jour: that the Obama administration is targeting Chrysler dealers for closure whose owners have donated to Republicans.

Why did the press dub Matthews' remark a "blooper," yet Santellli's rant was crowned a "populist" "shot heard around the world?"
