Senators who exclaimed that global warming is a pressing problem voted to block the EPA from dealing with it. If you believe this is a crisis, why wouldn't you want to fight it with every weapon available?
Lately I am even more frustrated with Senators who recognize that climate change is an urgent challenge, but who sit idly by on the sidelines doing nothing. For me, they raise the fundamental question.
Climate change naysayers hold up global warming inaction by China and India as a reason for the U.S. to drag our feet. Funny thing is -- these very countries are now benefiting from our inability to pass a clean energy bill.
Many candidates with out-of-touch views are likely on the ballot, yet we the voters have had little to no opportunity to hear what they have to say on pressing environmental issues affecting our lives.
