When my husband and I vacationed in Jamaica recently, we took a side trip. We got ourselves a day pass to a different kind of resort. A nude resort. I didn't promise my husband I would go through with it. And he was okay with leaving that option open. But I was curious.
You know how to be a respectful traveler already: Learn the local language, follow regional customs, and be polite to a fault. But some people don't follow these basic rules -- and take rude travel behavior to an entirely other level.
Taking a deep breath, I unsnapped my bra. Eila leaned in close. I could practically feel her warm breath on the side of my chest, the place where "Lefty" used to be. The place that was protected by a spray of persimmon-shaded flowers. "It's so beautiful," Eila said. And I believed her.
If a top deputy at the San Diego City Attorney's office really means what she said in statement filed with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals late last month, fundamental change in enforcement of nudity laws could impact tourism, the swimwear industry, clothing retailers -- even Comicon.
But did you know that in Singapore you can't be naked in your own home?!?! Or that until the early 19th century, the country was (possibly) governed by Nevernudes? You didn't, did you? Yes, turns out there are still a lot of weird nudity laws like Singapore's on the books, all around the world.

Is the bare human form still culturally offensive? For many the answer is a resounding no. With today's proliferation of nudity inclusive television, has nudity returned to its post-taboo status or are television contestants just more liberal than most?
After the recent outbreak of leaked nude celebrity photos, I took to the street to capture the thoughts of the people! Is it okay that these pics were released? Did people look at them anyway? All I know is that dick pics are in high demand.
Why do we normalize forced and involuntary pornography of women? Why do we consistently participate in the exploitation of women, and why do we turn the ownership of the female body into a spectator sport?
I also believe there is a time and place for everything, including where and when to bare your body in social situations. Do it because your are comfortable with your body. Don't do it if may makes those around you uncomfortable or someone is pressuring you.
