The first time I clicked on this Politico article, titled "Obama, class warrior," I had to check my calendar. Had I forgotten April Fools Day? What else could explain what otherwise struck me as a purposeful -- indeed, expertly executed -- parody of a Politico article?
Amid the flood of analysis about the 2012 election, too little attention has been paid to what may be its most obvious aspect. This was one of the first class warfare elections of the new Gilded Age -- and the middle class won big.
Wouldn't we want someone like Romney, with experience as a CEO and a self-acquired net worth of over $200 million to run our nation? Doesn't his past show that he's capable of leading us in the right direction?
