The combination of experience and emotion produces what is known as imprint: once it is created, it conditions our mental processes, determining our future behavior. The combination of all our imprints define us as people.
If you propose that Truth with a capital T might return into our lives, like a speck on the horizon that gets bigger and bigger, many would prefer to swat the speck away. For one thing, Truth veers uncomfortably close to God.
Though our topic remains essentially the same, let's assume that, rather than the prediction of an apocalypse actually happening, destroying our physical universe, the end of the world meant the demise of long-held, cherished and finally -- at last -- obsolete belief systems.
