So where will Peyton Manning wind up? Buyer beware, he doesn't come cheap and he's had neck surgery. Somehow I don't see him coming to the Jets and competing in the same stadium with his brother, but it sure would be fun wouldn't it?
We knew this was coming. The Colts will part ways with the face of their franchise for the last fourteen years, their iconic star Peyton Manning.
Were Manning to be terminated -- his contract, not him -- the Colts would save $63.6 million over the next four years. The salary cap consequences to a Manning release are a bit more complicated.
Assuming Manning is healthy -- and that may be the biggest "if" of this entire discussion -- he may be the most attractive free agent in the history of football.
