That child you love -- the one you raised from creation that centered your universe, rocked your world and drove lava into your veins at the same time -- yeah that one -- you can't keep him. You have to let him go.
We believe we are right and are, therefore, the wronged one. But are there benefits to being wrong? Can we turn such a situation around so that we can learn more about ourselves? Imagine how boring it would be if we were all always right!
In this election a moral frame is particularly important because it allows Democrats to play offense. We will not win a debate over whether we have been "effective" enough at digging out of the economic hole that Bush and the Republicans left.
