The President has been a steadfast supporter of the middle class and is expected to speak from the heart tonight to Americans who are still struggling economically. Here are the top three bullet points I'm hoping to see tonight on the President's teleprompter.
Think about that. For the first time in our nation's history, the most diverse electorate ever will enter voting booths on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. They will look more like the real America, and drive their own destinies.
Let's not forget that, before the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was enacted in 2009, members of the "Rising American Electorate" (African Americans, Latinos, unmarried women and millennials) were facing a serious healthcare crisis.
The Koch Brothers alone are estimated to spend $390 million in targeted races this year. In fact, reports in March already had them at the $30 million mark. Their goal? Protect dirty deniers who will, in turn, follow a right-wing agenda and protect the Koch's polluting interests.
The faltering jobless recovery isn't working for most working families. Over 20 million are still in need of full-time work. Wages and family income are falling. And in this bleak scene, the Obama coalition is faring among the worst.
