I strongly urge you to see this fascinating film. You will emerge from the theater smiling, feeling good that you met a real mensch, and perhaps even thinking a bit more about how you can incorporate some of his loving attitude into your everyday life. I know that I did.
This frenetic, fun film, produced by Beth Aaia, features some reenactments, vintage photographs, docu footage, testimonials, interviews with such close friends as Michael Douglas and Sly Stallone, and Myers' own commentary.
After I saw 22 Jump Street, I noted publicly that, while it was funnier than 21 Jump Street, so was my root canal. (Although the latter did include laughing gas.) Still, the bar wasn't particularly high.
Whether it was hiring people to hold up cameras with no film to create a paparazzi feel for his new client or getting a client to be close to actual famous people so their fame would melt off, Shep was brilliant.
