As I listened to the stories of the survivors and victims, it became strikingly apparent that the CIA simply had no idea whom they were targeting. These strikes may be technically accurate, but the intelligence on which they are based is damningly flawed.
While you defend drones as the least bad option in going after terrorist suspects, and while you stated a willingness to cede some authority to wage such warfare to greater oversight, it remains the case that your targeted killings abroad may actually be creating new dangers for us at home.
Drones don't work precisely because they create more enemies, which is why we are there in the first place. In the vicious cycle of this asymmetrical warfare the drones are the cause of more resentment, more enemies, and more wars.
