On social media I watch and read people talking about appearances every single bloody day and its simply boring. Why are we so concerned and body obsessed? It's sad we continue to talk about fat, skinny, round, triangle shaped people, okay maybe not triangle. But seriously when will the madness end? We as women see it all over the internet every f*cking day. I am seriously concerned for our entire society.
Today, these memories act as preventative medicine for my mind as I am constantly bombarded with superficial images of anorexic models portrayed as sex symbols. When I see the skin and bones of models, I no longer feel the envy, because I actively focus on remembering the pain I felt to achieve this.
The ACA is doing a tremendous amount of good, getting insurance to millions of people who otherwise would be uninsured, and lowering costs for many more -- but the use of these skinny networks threatens to undermine all the progress we've made if it's left unchecked. Here are some of the biggest problems that skinny networks can cause -- problems that are already affecting many patients.
