I was not surprised to learn that the Senate is looking into the Internet of Things. Senators are concerned about safety, privacy and security issues now that the tech industry is focusing on ways to connect devices to the Internet and to each other.
We rarely think of older adults as being lifestyle leaders. However, the needs of an aging society combined with the availability of technology, related services and the big data they generate requires a cross-generational discussion of privacy.
All of this can be done with the click of a button (or a tap of screen). But navigating the seemingly endless list of business tools on the market can become more of a time sink than an efficiency boost.
