In a way, artists are prepared to make excellent parents because they are used to finding creative solutions to financial hurdles, something most parents have to do many times in their child's lives, regardless of their occupation.
As an artist pursues their creative endeavor, whether to make a career of it to sustain themselves or as a personal outlet, their pursuit must happen within the confines/parameters of the "real" world.
You're a new face. You're a new talent. You're a new voice. No one has any idea what you bring to the table. You must accept this stage and commit yourself to delivering the goods every single time you get an opportunity.
I'm trying to keep up with artists who have had a similar amount of success as I have had, trying my hardest to appear to be making the same amount of money as they are. But I just can't pretend anymore. This is my coming out.
