U.S. aid should be provided to Egypt on the basis of more rigorous standards of transparency and accountability. Americans and the Egyptian people need to know exactly how the aid is being used and who benefits from the aid.

I have tried to shine a light on the clearest, cleanest, unspinnable, problem with Romney's finances -- amnesty for his Swiss accounts -- suggesting that the Republican leaders, who dislike him anyhow, could not abide such a fatally-flawed nominee.
