I wrote my string quartet, The Named Angels, against the current backdrop of unrest in the Middle East. Each of the four movements of the quartet portrays of one of the four angels shared by the Jewish, Christian and Islamic faiths.
We have a responsibility to the innocent who have been caught in the relentless barrage from all sides, their lives destroyed and lost, and to their host communities, also feeling the weight of the war every day.
Our Oxfam Global Ambassador and actor Gael García Bernal has taken time out from filming on location in Jordan to meet Syrian refugees. Bernal is now calling on world leaders to find an urgent solution to the Syria crisis.
