Assad and Putin Will Likely Disregard the Syria Cease-Fire and Destroy the Opposition

Cease-fire deal or not, Russia and the Syrian regime have no reason to voluntarily jeopardize their recent gains. There is a critical clause in the deal that effectively gives the regime a free pass to continue the war: namely, the cease-fire will not apply to ISIS and the Nusra Front. Thus, Assad and Putin will target any opposition group they please, claiming the group is fighting alongside terrorists.
