Two years ago, I made the decision to study politics. I have to be honest, the subject wasn't my first choice. It was one of those "nothing else appeals to me but hey, as a last resort I'll take this" decisions.
That moment in the cafeteria of the State Department was one of the best of my entire life. It didn't matter that I did not know any of these people by name, or that they all towered over me. In that moment, I was at the center of something much bigger than myself.
I will never judge another teen, or any other person for that matter, for not caring about what I find to be important. But I will still do my best to convince people to engage in political events because I really do believe they are extremely important.
