Some obviously disagree with LaHaye's perspectives on these issues, but few can deny his passion for the subject matter. And absolutely no one can ignore the profound impact that the "Left Behind" series has had on end-times theological narratives over the past 15 years.
"Left Behind" may be the most boring post-apocalyptic movie ever made. Only the irritatingly preachy messages delivered by wooden characters threaten to detract from the glacial speed with which the plot develops.
And they said things were bad in the 70's. The dirt, the porno shops, the Disco. All that is now a fond memory for many New Yorkers who gamely braved that bit of Hades to attend a real Broadway musical.
For the sake of the country -- and for Gov. Palin's own sake -- the campaign's vow of silence on the subject of her religion must be broken -- completely, publicly, and personally by the candidate herself.
