There are a boatload of artists who play to packed venues in the here and now. It's rare that pop singers, country singers -- or any genre of artists for that matter -- have a long shelf life when it comes to maintaining a high-profile career.
John Pizzarelli: Favorite album of all time? ... Abbey Road is pretty close to the top of the list. It's funny. You could say Abbey Road or you could say In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning, because they're the types of records you put on and say, 'Oh, I'll just listen to one or two tracks.'
Which is the true "conservative" resolution? The one that tells states what to do and demands a one-size-fits-all approach? Or the one that trusts states to make up their own minds -- without interference from Washington?

My Top Ten list of the year has very little, if any connection, with what people who still pay attention to the hipster music scene and read the Billboard charts would consider the best records of the year. And to be honest, I don't give a crap.
