The President did the right thing by going to struggling neighborhoods and spending time with the young people who could see in a man who, through the dedication, love and hard work, a mirror of themselves and what they too could accomplish.
Every student of Tulane University has heard this statement, and it perfectly sums up the experience of attending school in NOLA. It's impossible to talk about Tulane and its fashion scene without first understanding the city that encompasses it.
He wants to and should be remembered for at least two things "helping Tulane and New Orleans go through the hardest times in their respective histories" and "creating an environment of civic engagement."
