"My aim is to create a permanent exhibition of great art in the public space of Lodz," says Michał Bieżyński, founder of "Lodz Murals" in the Polish city of the same name. It is highly likely he will after six years curating Galeria Urban Forms.
Los Angeles made a name for itself as the mural capital of the world between 1986-2002, when murals were encouraged and celebrated in the city. But in 2002 the city instituted a city-wide moratorium on murals.
The visionary behind this street art installation doesn't limit himself to organizing just one festival. Instead he double-tracks it with an electronic-based music festival born from his years as a techno DJ.
