Nick Rabkin has been active in the Chicago arts world since he managed the Organic Theater, where he produced E/R: Emergency Room (the play, not the television show). He is a senior research scientist at NORC at the University of Chicago, where he recently completed a new report, "Teaching Artists and the Future of Education." He has been deputy commissioner of cultural affairs, the MacArthur Foundation’s senior arts program officer, and director of Columbia College’s Center for Arts Policy.
