Nicola Gerber Maramotti was born iLangenhagen, Germany. She traveled to the US as a teenager and attended New York State High School. She holds a degree in Business Administraton from the University of Hamburg in Germany.

After college, Mrs. Maramotti returned to the states and worked as a manager at Wempe Jewelers in New York City.

She married Ignazio Maramotti, Chairman of MaxMara Fashion Group in 1991 and has been working for MaxMara since. The couple has four children and reside in Italy.

Together with Mr. Luigi Maramotti, Chairman of MaxMara and Igazio’s brother, she was instrumental developing the company’s Max&Co. brand in Italy and abroad. Currently, Mrs. Maramotti is Director of European Retail Development for Max Mara.
