Nikki Darling writes for the LA Weekly music department and was the research assistant on critically acclaimed, feminist music critic, Jessica Hopper’s, 2009 book, The Girls Guide to Rocking. She is an assistant Editor at literary journal Black Clock and the literary curator at the Torrance Museum of Art. She hosts a semi regular reading series, Five Points, with friend and writer, literary curator, Kate Wolf, at Workspace Gallery in Lincoln Heights.

Her work explores the relationship between rock ‘n’ roll and gender. She holds a BA from Eugene Lang, The New School for Liberal Arts, as well as attending The California Institute of the Art’s, where she is working toward her MFA in Critical Studies.
