Angelina Jolie Film Viral Video Hoax

Angelina Jolie’s latest flick, Wanted, doesn’t open until June 27, but it’s gaining a good deal of attention thanks to a very well disguised advertisement in the form of viral video. Created by the film’s director, Timur Bekmambetov, Office Worker Goes Absolutely Insane (see below) has garnered over 4 million views since it was first featured on Break.com last week. The video also has nearly 6,000 diggs.

Bekmambetov revealed he was behind the video on his personal blog (which is in Russian). The trailer for the film is similar to the viral video in that they're both quick-paced and violent. And while I don’t know if the film contains any similar scenes, I kind of want to see it in order to find out.

Given the recent popularity of the leaked footage of Bill O'Reilly's Outburst , it's safe to say that  temper tantrums generate a lot of interest.

Also on Break.com is a cell-phone video version of the clip (see below), seemingly adding to its initial believability as an actual event.

Wanted stars Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy. It hits theaters June 27.
