For years, there wasn't much of anything a military bigwig could do to lose his job - well, nothing except contradict Donald Rumsfeld in public. But now that Rummy's gone, that may just be starting to change. Army secretary Francis Harvey has been pushed out, over the Walter Reed scandal. And he's not the only Defense Department poobah who has been canned, lately. (Don't worry, Shelley, Army surgeon general Kevin Kiley is next.) Could this signal a new era of -- dare I say it? -- accountability in the Pentagon's upper ranks?
