Noel Irwin Hentschel is Chairman, CEO and co-Founder of AmericanTours International (ATI), America's largest privately held, American-owned, inbound/outbound tourism and marketing organization serving one-million visitors annually from more than 70 countries around the globe. One of California’s largest woman owned businesses, ATI was founded in 1977 and today generates nearly $3 billion into the U.S. economy annually. ATI is headquartered in Los Angeles and Orlando with regional offices in Miami, New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Honolulu and Beijing.

In 2002, ATI entered into a strategic alliance partnership with AAA and CAA to provide online travel services as a private label preferred partner for servicing their 50 million members. ATI created for AAA and CAA an exclusive member booking engine with a full range of travel products and competitive pricing to help AAA favorably compete with other online travel entities.

A prominent voice for public policy issues that affect the tourism industry, Hentschel served 6 recurring terms on the U.S Secretary of Commerce U.S. Travel & Tourism Advisory Board. She is active in strengthening America’s international relations by working with government leaders in establishing global strategic partnerships, traveling frequently to Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Vietnam and South Korea.

Hentschel works with business and government to also respond to humanitarian needs. In 1988, she began working with Mother Teresa and her Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta. Hentschel was inspired by Mother Teresa to establish The Noel Foundation to serve those most in need.

Hentschel is an active member of the United States Travel Association, National Tour Association (NTA), Society of Professional Journalists, American Chamber of Commerce China and Asia Society. She serves on select boards including the L.A. World Affairs Council, Board of Governors Cedars Sinai Hospital and Patron of the Arts at the Vatican.

Hentschel is the host of “The America Show” on China Central Television (CCTV.com), a regular commentator on China Central People's Broadcasting Station (CNR.cn) and a contributing columnist on politics and world issues for the Huffington Post. Success Magazine named her as one of America’s leading entrepreneurs ranked with Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart. Time Magazine called her a ‘local hero’ for her service on sheriff ride-a-longs in South Central Los Angeles.

Hentschel attended Notre Dame Academy, before living in Israel, where she began her career in the hospitality service industry. She attended Pepperdine University Key Executive President’s MBA Program. Hentschel completed the graduate program at the Franciscan School of Theology, a member of the Graduate Theological Union at UC Berkeley, to earn a Master of Theological Studies degree with an emphasis on world religions for international relations and global ethical issues. She has an honorary doctorate for humanities from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island.

Hentschel and her husband Gordon live in Los Angeles and own and operate Stonepine Estate Resort in Carmel Valley, California. They are the parents of seven children living in California and Florida.
