Gail Bray
National Committeewoman
Indiana
Involvement in the Democratic Party
National committeewoman Gail Bray met Obama in 2006 and decided he was her candidate early on. The Clinton campaign has not contacted her to try to get her vote. "I declared way before there was an issue," Bray said. She and her family leave Sunday for Texas, where they'll campaign for Obama in the Texas primary March 4. Bray said she plans to contact other superdelegates and urge them, "delicately," to support Obama.
At least two of the party's superdelegates -- Boise lawyers Gail Bray and Grant Burgoyne -- have already announced their intention to endorse Obama. (from Fox News: http://youdecide08.foxnews.com/2008/02/05/idaho-democrats-still-reeling-from-huge-obama-rally)Currently, Gail Bray is in Texas, unreachable and doing ground work for Obama. She has either a Texas or other "southern" accent. She's been there a few weeks.

Idaho
Basic Bio
* Retiree (http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com)
* Formerly in the timber business and Buell Bros. Trucking Co./Owner (http://www.campaignmoney.com/political/contributions/jeanne-buell.asp?cycle=06)
Political interests and issues
* A letter to the Editor of the Coeur d'Alene Press Ms. Buell sent to the Daily: "We have fine young men, soldiers fight and die in Iraq. We see men, women and children killed on the streets of Iraq daily. For what? Democracy, a right to VOTE and choose their own governing officials. But not here. Kootenai County only had a 24.57 percent voter turnout in the primary. There is no REASON not to VOTE, vote early, vote often (oops forget that one), vote by absentee, vote on the election day and first-time voters can register when they vote. So, if you did not vote, do not "whine" about taxes, health care, property tax, low wages, etc." http://www.northidahodemocrats.org/x-letters-283.html
Pledged Status
* Buell supports Barack Obama as of Feb 11, 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Party_(United_States)_superdelegates,_2008
"He's running the most organized campaign I've ever seen...after the 2004 election he hired every top campaign manger there was." Buell said she has no reservations about her endorsement. "He'll make one hell of a president." http://www.seattlepoliticore.org/2008/02/04/where-in-the-world-is-hillary-clinton/
* Buell said she backed Obama because he campaigned in the state. "I was tired of people flying over the state and not stopping," she said. "I promised my support to the candidate, a serious candidate, who would come to Idaho."http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-02-11-superdelegates_N.htm
* Idaho Party Vice Chairwoman Buell, of Worley, said she feels she has an obligation to represent voters in Idaho in general, and in Kootenai County in particular, where about 79 percent of the caucus participants supported Obama. He was sent to San Francisco -- his schooling and science classes kept him from going overseas. He served out his two years, worked a bit of construction in Colorado, started dating his girlfriend (they're married with three kids now), and finally graduated with a broad triple-major in English, philosophy and political science. "Somewhere in the back of my mind, I wanted to be the next Clarence Darrow," he said, "but I never thought of being a prosecutor. The thought never crossed my mind." But he and his wife wanted to raise their family in a small town, and Hailey, Idaho fit the profile. After going to work for the Blaine County prosecutor, he was immediately given the juvenile and civil cases and expected to hit the ground running. "A lot of it was literally trial and literally error," he said. But the repetition eventually was stifling. "I thought ´I know I could do this better than anyone in the state, ´" he said. "I really felt that way." "He's a first-rate lawyer," said former Idaho Supreme Court Justice Byron Johnson. "Bright, articulate, well-prepared, pretty assertive." Johnson estimated he has seen more than 1,000 attorneys in his time on the state's highest court and called Roark one of the top 10."
