WHO: Economic Policy Advisor Steve Forbes and Senior Policy Advisor Doug Holtz-Eakin
WHAT: Press conference call to discuss Senator Barack Obama's and Senator John McCain's economic plans.
WHEN: Monday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. EDT
SUMMARY
McCain policy advisors Steve Forbes and Doug Holtz-Eakin criticized Sen. Barack Obama as a "tax-raiser" and as someone who would raise taxes even on Americans making $32,000. "When it comes to actions, not what he says, when it comes to actions, he has been a massive tax-increaser, and this I think gets to the whole credibility problem with Sen. Obama saying one thing and then doing another," Forbes said. Holtz-Eakin said that McCain would keep the Bush tax-cuts and curb any future tax-raises and balance the budget by 2013 by cutting discretionary spending and reforming entitlement programs. "The senator has a long history of being someone who can reach across the aisle and at times when there's the genuine need for national action deliver the kinds of efforts that the American people are desperate for at this time," Holtz-Eakin said.

Unless the U.S. Government gets a handle on the burgeoning national debt, the value of the dollar will continue to plummet. Without some increase in revenue the government will fail to protect us from that dangerous world out there. But the McCainicans in their personal castles won't worry; they've got their Blackwater armies for security against those enemies, foreign and domestic.
