SUMMARY
This call concerns John McCain adviser Charlie Black's comments yesterday that another terrorist attack would be an advantage to John McCain in the presidential election. Ben-Veniste and McDonough discuss topics including the failure to capture Osama bin Laden and al'Qaeda's activity in Pakistan. Ben-Veniste states, "it is critical that the candidates debate national security and their significant different visions for America's future course in an atmosphere free from fear tactics and political bluster," but declines to call on McCain to fire Black.
