"Unplug and Recharge" is a new Living series which aims to give you, our dear readers, a quick break from your day -- whether you have as much time as ten minutes or as little as two. Following the success of our Oasis at the DNC, we're hoping to give you a little cyber-oasis -- a place to escape -- where you can take a moment to unplug, relax, and recharge.
This is a quick fix that is actually very helpful, bringing relaxation to the head, neck, and shoulders in one swift move. Using your fingertips, find that place where the head meets the neck and there is usually a little indentation. Use your own discretion to choose how much pressure you'd like to give yourself, and press your fingertips into that spot. To intensify the relief from this self-massage, tilt your head back slightly and roll it from side to side. Try this move sitting down at first, because it is extremely relaxing.
