Pamela J. Gentry opened the Washington Bureau for BET Nightly News in the spring of 2002, and is responsible for the daily coverage of politics and policy on Capitol Hill and its impact on the African-American community. In July of 2005, she added” Pamela on Politics,” an online political column on BET.com to her bureau-chief role.

Prior to joining BET, Gentry was a political producer and host of the morning public affairs show for the C-SPAN network, The Washington Journal. Pamela also, frequently hosted the Sunday program America and the Courts.

She can be seen regularly on Washington, D.C. tv channels WUSA (channel 9), and the political roundtable program In the Know on WJLA (channel 7) discussing politics. Pamela is also a frequent guest on WOL Radio’s The Joe Madison Show, and XM Radio’s presidential watch show POTUS ’08. She has also appeared on Chicago’s WVON Radio, “The Roland Martin Show,” The White House Chronicles on PBS, and other television and talk-radio programs with interest in Washington politics.

A native of Detroit, Michigan and a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, she is married with two children and resides in Annapolis, Maryland.
