Patrick Wallace is a native Texan who grew up in sunny San Diego, CA with two loving parents, an incredible, slightly-older sister and a significantly cooler younger brother. In May 2011, he became the co-founder and executive director of A Note to My Kid - an international, award-winning grassroots movement that gives the LGBTQ community, their parents, families and friends the opportunity to share their unconditional love with one another. In 2012, USA Network recognized him with a "Characters Unite" award for his work with A Note to My Kid. He was also recognized as the 2012 "Outstanding Community Activist" by the 37th Annual Nicky Awards (known locally as San Diego's Gay Oscars). A PR practitioner with more than 12 years of experience focusing on healthcare, technology, lifestyle and non-profit organizations, Patrick also serves as a member of the San Diego Unified School District's "Safe Schools Task Force" - an organization designed to make school life a safer and more positive experience for members of the LGBTQ community. As a HuffPo guest blogger he strives to tell unique and inspirational stories about gay life that aim to bring people closer together.
