Patti Giggans
Patti has been the Executive Director of Peace Over Violence, formerly the Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women, for over 30 years, committed to providing services and advocacy for victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and to providing prevention education to youth and to the community. In 1999, Patti founded the Denim Day Campaign, which grew from a local level in Los Angeles to an international movement. This year, she has been honored with NSVRC’s Visionary Voice Award, nominated by the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault for providing leadership to the Los Angeles community, the state of California, and the nation through her steadfast commitment to ending sexual and domestic violence.
