Maybe we should get a restraining order

Now that President Bush has decided to turn his 60-cities-in-60-days Social Security extravaganza into an endless tour in which he's "going to head back out again, and ... spend time talking about Social Security every week until something gets done," I'm starting to get a little worried about the guy. Seeing that approval for his overhaul plan has been steadily going down in the polls as he roams our country looking for pre-selected audiences to which he can stump, I fear he's becoming a bit of an obsessed stalker, desperately trying to get us to agree to go out with him. The only problem is that when the President's the one stalking you, it's like having a stalker who keeps sending you bills to reimburse all his travel, lodging, and expenses, as well as all charges incurred by his enormous staff and security detail.

Maybe Social Security will get a little more solvent if the guy just stops traveling for a few weeks. I think an intervention may be in order. Cheney, Rove, Mehlman, get your butts down to Crawford right now. Your friend needs you.

"Um ... George? Uh, look, man ... she just might not be that into you."
