Things That Make You Go "Yikes" ...

Just flipped past the NBC Evening News and Brian Williams was broadcasting from the site of the Billy Graham revival in New York. Now, while I know there is no separation of church and news and Billy Graham is a famous figure, does anybody else find it just a tad odd that a network news show would be using a religious revival as a backdrop?

I know, I know, it's Billy's final tour and he's really old and it's amazing he'd be doing this and all. But the same thing applies to the Rolling Stones and yet I don't think we'll be seeing Brian Williams standing at the back of Madison Square Garden telling us about bombings in Iraq while roadies are setting up Charlie Watts' drumset.

Or maybe we will. See him at a Stones concert, that is. I'd rather he not have to tell us about anymore bombings in Iraq.
