President Ford died last week. And President Bush didn't attend the services.
James Brown also died last week. And President Bush didn't attend the funeral.
He was on vacation.
And this weekend, the 3,000th American service member died in Iraq.
The President won't go to that funeral either.
Disgraceful.
UPDATE: Bush finally attended services for President Ford starting yesterday (Monday) and delivered the eulogy today. I still think it was too late. As POTUS, I think he should have had the sense to interrupt his vacation to be there for earlier ceremonies--instead of staying in Texas and sending Dick Cheney in his place.
