Paul Sonn is legal co-director of the National Employment Law Project (NELP). NELP is a policy and advocacy organization focused on the core problems of the U.S. labor market in the 21st century economy. For fifteen years Paul has worked on new approaches for promoting living wage jobs. Paul’s recent writings include Government Paves the Way: A Decent Work Agenda for the Obama Administration, Restoring the Minimum Wage for America’s Tipped Workers, and The Road to Responsible Contracting. His work has been profiled in the New York Times Magazine, the Nation, and the New York Law Journal. From 1999-2008, he was co-director of the Economic Justice Project at New York University’s Brennan Center for Justice. He is a 1992 graduate of Yale Law School.
