Peter Brown, a research scholar at the Center for Humans and Nature, is a professor at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and the co-author of Right Relationship: Building a Whole Earth Economy (Berrett-Koehler Publishers 2009). He has served as a consultant and advisor for the Department of Energy, the Department of Health and Human Services and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Brown resides in Montreal and is actively in tree farming and conservation efforts in Maryland, Maine and Quebec. Brown is supported by the Center for Humans and Nature, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Chicago and dedicated to promote greater civic and responsible interactions between natural ecosystems and human communities.

Geoff Garver, an environmental law and policy consultant in Montreal, Quebec, is an adjunct law professor at the University of Montreal and Laval University in Canada and the co-author of Right Relationship: Building a Whole Earth Economy (Berrett-Koehler Publishers 2009). He has held senior positions with North America's Commission for Environmental Cooperation, the U.S. Justice Department's Environment and Natural Resources Division, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Geoff grew up in a Quaker family in rural Western New York.
