Pride Sweepstakes Time Is Here!

Posted: 06/01/2012 2:56 pm

There are lots of reasons to come to New York in the summer, but one of the most fun and fascinating times is Pride Weekend, when it seems like the entire city joins the LGBT community in marking another year of progress.

While we should never forget many of the serious reasons Pride is so important, it is impossible to miss the fact that Pride is also a really huge party. From the pier dances and other Heritage of Pride events to the parties thrown by individuals and the huge moving day-long festival that forms the parade, Pride is one of the high points in a summer season marked by New Yorkers emerging from a long winter to embrace the sun, the heat (and each other).

Not everyone has the opportunity to be in New York during Pride weekend on June 22-24, but this year some lucky AOL and Huffington Post employees will join those at our NYC headquarters to celebrate.

Out at AOL is holding a sweepstakes open to employees at the other North American offices of AOL to join New York pride on an expenses-paid trip. Dance in the New York City streets during the parade, join us at our celebrity party at corporate headquarters and meet the LGBT community and its allies in the New York office this Pride month!

Contest Details:

Out at AOL invites all employees to participate in the parade, and is making it a little easier for those in office outside of New York. We are giving away two free trips to New York! Two employees from offices outside of NYC, and a guest of each, will receive airfare and hotel accommodations from June 22 - June 25. We'll draw the winners on June 7 and announce them no later than the following day.

There's so much going on for Pride in New York, which seems to get bigger and better with each passing year. Let us know what your company is doing for Pride, and if you are in New York, be sure to look for us at the Parade!
