On June 30, Peter Iver Kaufman retired from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (where he was professor in the departments of history and religious studies) to accept an appointment as the Modlin Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond. At UNC-CH, he was founder and co-director of the Program in Christianity and Culture and the Scholars Latino Initiative at UNC-CH (www.unc.edu/slu; www.globalgiving.org/1634). The latest of his eight books, INCORRECTLY POLITICAL; AUGUSTINE AND THOMAS MORE was released in 2007. He received his BA from Trinity College, Hartford Connecticut and his PhD from the University of Chicago.
