Phil Ting is the assessor-recorder in San Francisco and the founder of ResetSanFrancisco.org, an community organization that's organizing San Franciscans both online and offline and empowering them to make their voices heard at City Hall.

Prior to being assessor, Phil Ting has had a long history of civil rights advocacy as the executive director of the Asian Law Caucus and served on the board of Equality California and California Alumni Association. He has helped launch successful programs like GoSolarSF and ChinaSF that have created hundreds of jobs and attracted new businesses to the city. Phil is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He lives in the Sunset neighborhood with his wife and two daughters.
