WSJ Subscribers: Send a Tea Party Message to Murdoch

The headline across the top of today's Op-Ed page in the WSJ reads "Tax Day Becomes Protest Day." The op-ed piece notes how the Tea Parties could change American politics.

My protest was to call up and cancel my 28-year subscription to the WSJ. It's becoming Murdoch's print version of Fox News, who has been promoting these tea parties. I urge other subscribers to do the same. Or you can call up and ask that your subscription be suspended for a week or a month as a protest.

Too late. I already cancelled a few years ago, when WSJ right-winger John Fund ticked me off one time too many by spouting nonsense on some TV show.

Done! Saving a few trees in the process can't hurt.

This is a continuation of the WSJ's obvious tactics of using the rag for uber-capitalist propaganda and, in this case a campaign to distract us from the collective failure of their so-rich-you-should-worship-us ideology. Only two weeks ago they ran a piece that was a blatant attempt to compare bonuses paid to hard-working congressional staff to the multi-million dollar bonuses handed out to their close friends on Wall Street. They're clearly trying to incite protest in order to distract the majority from the issues that truly deserve our anger and protest.

It's time to start a counter-movement to this pseudo-grassroots teabag stupidity:
Send Congress republicans and Faux News commentators packets of Kool-Aid!
How soon everybody forgot the GOP is the "Kool-Aid Drinkers' Party"....

Honestly, I envy them for mobilizing the way they did. What did we do of similar hype and protest in the last 8 years that got ANY kind of traction?

They had a major cable network actively promoting it.

The only protest during shrub that got covered was Sheehan, but every weekend here where I live there was a steady group of people protesting every saturday.
